Silent march on behalf of Pandharpur Sakal Jain Samaj
Pandharpur, Date 24/04/2025: A protest march was organized on behalf of Pandharpur city and taluka Sakal Jain Samaj to protest against the injustice and atrocities being committed against Jainism and society and the cowardly attack by terrorists in Pahelgam.

On date 16/04/2025, the Jain temple in Vile Parle, Mumbai was demolished by BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) with the help of JCB in a wrong and illegal manner and without understanding all the facts. While demolishing the said temple, the religious books and worship materials there were desecrated and the iconic idols in the temple were vandalized (broken).

Due to this tyrannical act of the administration, all the Jain religious and all peace-loving citizens of the country have become extremely angry. The officials responsible for the incident should be investigated, suspended immediately and strict action should be taken against them and the demolished temple should be rebuilt on the same site. Also, for the past several years, encroachment on the pilgrimage site of Jainism, attacks on pilgrims, attacks on Jain monks and nuns and deliberate harassment have been going on. It is necessary to find out who has the malicious intention behind this.
The Jain community is a minority and despite being non-violent and peace-loving, representatives of some political parties repeatedly use derogatory and offensive language about Jainism. Strict action should be taken against them.
Also, the government has taken steps to provide justice to the innocent citizens who died and were injured in the cowardly attack by terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, but the entire Jain community demanded that strict action be taken against the terrorists.

A memorandum of these demands was submitted to Pandharpur Tehsildar Sachin Langute on behalf of the entire Jain community. The Pandharpur Police Administration provided support for this silent march. At this time, community members from Pandharpur city, Sarkoli, Degaon, Jainwadi, Karakamb, Modlimb, Kavthali, Dhondewadi were present.
