Republican Party opposes forced conversion of girls in inter-religious marriages-Union Minister of State Ramdas Athawale
Mumbai / dnyanpravah News,dt. 20-Inter-religious marriages are happening in many places. Inter- caste marriages are happening. We welcome such marriages. However, if girls are being forcibly converted in inter-religious marriages, it should be stopped. The Republican Party will strongly oppose the forced conversion of girls in inter-religious marriages. The Republican Party’s national president and Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale clarified that the Republican Party supports the law to be passed by the Grand Alliance government to prevent the forced conversion of girls in inter-religious marriages.
Examples of inter-religious marriages of Dalit boys with Muslim girls in which the Muslim girl did not change her religion can be seen in many places in Maharashtra.
Minister Ramdas Athawale said that the Republican Party will support laws to prevent forced conversions after interfaith marriages.
