Minister for Transport, Youth, and Sports Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy has said that that the officials of the corporations, municipalities and village panchayats are directed to keep the contingency drinking water action plans ready for the ensuing summer season.

The Minister was inagurating borewells at the villages of Variga and Shettiwandlapalle in Rayachoti mandal of Annamayya district on Sunday.

The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing water scarcity in the State. “We are taking special measures to ensure every village has access to water. Resolving the water crisis is our top priority, especially during the summer months. We are systematically adding borewells to mitigate the issue and ensure sustainable water supply for all villages in the constituency,” he said.

Residents of Shettiwandlapalle welcomed the Minister, presenting him with traditional harathi in appreciation of the initiative. Several TDP leaders and activists were also present.

Mr. Ramprasad Reddy also laid the foundation stone for a new cement concrete (CC) road leading to the Malleswara Temple at Mallayakkapalle from Rayachoti. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure in the constituency.

“As part of the development plans for the six zones of Rayachoti, we are ensuring that every village is equipped with proper cement roads, drainage systems and streetlights. The construction of this CC road will improve accessibility to Malleswara Temple and benefit the local community,” he said.
