The nonprofit, which focuses on digital skilling, change-making and entrepreneurship, has collaborated with the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA) to establish its Green Skills Academy’s career readiness centre in Kuppam.
The centre was formally inaugurated by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during his recent visit to the area.
In a statement issued on Thursday (January 9), KADA project director Vikas Marmat said the 1M1B centre would equip youth and young professionals (aged 18 and above) with the knowledge, skills and experience required to excel in green job roles and entrepreneurial ventures by providing them with hands-on training in fields such as e-waste management, renewable energy, electric mobility and sustainable agriculture.
Under this programme, training would also be given in digital skills such as Artificial Intelligence and other professional development skills like communication, leadership and critical thinking. This, he said, would prepare the students for jobs and internships.
Founder of M1B1 Manav Subodh said the initiative was aimed at making Kuppam a global hub for green skills and a model for nurturing climate talent.
Member of the Legislative Council Srikanth Kancharla said the Kuppam pilot project would empower youth in the region with future-ready skills and inspire them to embrace sustainability and innovation.
