A young man on his way home after celebrating Sankranti with his friends lost his life in a road accident in Chandanagar on Wednesday (January 15). The deceased has been identified as Frank Lean Felix, 27, a gym trainer residing in BHEL Township in RC Puram.
According to police, the man was returning from Kokapet on a two-wheeler when the speeding vehicle collided with an electricity pole on the roadside in Nallagandla, Serilingampally. The incident was reported around 1.30 p.m.
The locals shifted him to a private hospital where the duty doctors declared him dead on arrival. A case was booked and an investigation is under way after his wife Mailaram Swarnalatha lodged a complaint.
