OpenAI had announced that it was rolling out ChatGPT’s new image generation capabilities to Plus, Pro, Team and Free users of the chatbot. However, the comapny later confirmed that the rollout to free users has been delayed and even when they get the update it will be limited to 3 image generations per day.
This essentially means that ChatGPT free users have no way of generating Studio Ghibli styled images or other similar effects.
However, Elon Musk’s Grok AI (based on Grok 3) is currently able to generate these images for free, albeit not at the accuracy level of ChatGPT yet. The latest Gemini model via Google AI studio is also capable to native image output but our requests to turn real life images in Ghibli styled images were rejected by the chatbot.
