‘HIT 3’ teaser: Sailesh Kolanu, Nani unleash a violent cop drama

Nani in ‘HIT: The third case’

The teaser of actor Nani and director Sailesh Kolanu’s HIT: The Third Case, the third Telugu film in the HIT (Homicide Intervention Team) universe or HIT-verse, with the tagline ‘Sarkaar’s laathi’ was unveiled on Monday morning to coincide with the lead actor’s birthday. The film, scheduled to release in theatres on May 1, follows the journey of cop Arjun Sarkaar (Nani), who is known for his brutal ways.

Produced by Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni’s Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions, the plot of the crime-action thriller focuses on a series of murders that follow a similar pattern. The police, perplexed, turn to the homicide intervention team’s Arjun Sarkaar. The teaser shows a series of violent methods in which Sarkaar deals with criminals. 

The first film, HIT: The First Case, featured Vishwak Sen as a brooding cop on the heels of a gruesome crime while battling post-traumatic stress and the second film, HIT: The Second Case, featured Adivi Sesh as a laidback cop who is jolted out of his comfort zone. HIT 2 ended with a glimpse of Arjun Sarkaar’s character and the third film is expected to have references to the first two films, with sequences interlinking the universe. Srinidhi Shetty plays the female lead.

HIT 3 has on board cinematographer Sanu John Varghese, music composer Mickey J Meyer, editor Karthika Srinivas R and production designer Sri Nagendra Tangala.
