Four persons, including two women, were arrested by Kilpennathur police on Friday for murdering a farmer in Sirunathur village in Tiruvannamalai over a financial dispute.
The arrested persons were K. Suresh, 44, a real estate agent; his wife S. Lalitha, 39; maid S. Abirami, 23; and Sureshâs friend B. Vignesh, 24. The police said the deceased S. Karthikeyan, 32, helped Suresh in real estate business, apart from farming.
A few weeks ago, the duo quarrelled over the non-payment of commission for a land they sold. Karthikeyan told the villagers that Suresh refused to pay his commission. Angered by this, Suresh and the other three went to his house and murdered him.
The body was shifted to Government Medical College Hospital.
