Cyber training program for college students, women vigilance committee from Palghar Police Department
Palghar / dnyanpravah News-In the current digital era, every person is using mobile phones and internet. Cyber criminals are making phone calls to citizens with different lures. Some citizens are getting caught in the net of cyber criminals. Due to this, the rate of cyber crime is increasing day by day. In order to ensure that the citizens of Palghar district do not fall prey to cyber crimes and to create cyber literacy among them, the Cyber Safe Palghar campaign is being implemented under the Jan Samvad Abhiyan under the concept of Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil Palghar.

Under the 7-point program of the Chief Minister, the Cyber Safe Palghar campaign is currently being implemented in Palghar district by the Cyber Police Thane Palghar and it is necessary to reach all the citizens and create public awareness. Accordingly, on On 18/02/2025, a program was organized to provide training to cyber warriors under the Cyber Safe Palghar campaign under the chairmanship of Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil, Palghar at the District Planning Hall, District Collector’s Office, Palghar. For this, a total of 400 students from Sonopant Dandekar College Palghar, Chafekar College Palghar, I.D.L. College Palghar, C.S.P. College Ashagad, Theme College of Engineering Boisar, St. John’s College of Engineering Palghar and a total of 33 women from the Women’s Vigilance Committee were present.

In this program, the cyber warriors were shown a video clip titled Cyber Safe Palghar, which provided information on the identity of cyber crime, the methods of cyber crime, the activities to be done in the first hour after the cyber crime (golden hour), how to register complaints on the National Cyber Crime Portal, how to register a complaint on the CEIR Portal after losing a mobile phone, and detailed information was given on how to help the public after cyber crime.

The said program was successfully carried out under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Balasaheb Patil Palghar, Additional Superintendent of Police Vinayak Narle Palghar, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Home) Mrs. Sangita Shinde Alphonso Palghar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mrs. Bhagirathi Pawar, Police Inspector Ajay Gorad, Officer-in-Charge Cyber Police Thane, Police Sub-Inspector Rupali Gund Cyber Police Thane, M.P.O.N. Kavita Patil, M.P.O.S. Monica Tidke, P.O.Ramdas Durgesht, P.O.Akshay Shetye, P.O.Rupesh Patil, P.O.R.Rohit Toraskar, all the appointees of Cyber Police Thane, Palghar and other officials.
