As per the FIR of the case, the complainant Nanda Kumar, one of the accused in the alleged poaching of BRS MLA case, claimed significant financial losses following alleged illegal activities by the accused parties. The properties in question, plot numbers 2 and 3 on Road No. 1, Filmnagar, Jubilee Hills, were leased to the complainant for operating a hotel business.
According to the complaint, the lease agreements date back to 2014, with substantial investments made by Nanda Kumar in renovation and infrastructure, including âš20 crore for starting a restaurant, Deccan Kitchen. However, tensions escalated in 2018, leading to a series of legal confrontations.
The complainant alleged that in November 2022, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) attempted to demolish parts of the property despite an existing interim injunction granted by the Additional Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad. âThis demolition was halted after the intervention, but on the evening of November 13, 2022, the accused persons purportedly employed 50 to 60 individuals to vandalise the property and steal valuables,â said Mr. Kumar.
âIn January 2024, the Daggubati family allegedly completely demolished the structure,â he added. Mr. Kumar approached Nampally Court for violation of orders and the court ordered the police to investigate the matter. The proceedings in the case continued, and on Saturday the court issued directions to the police to register a case.
