A Budget That Provides Strong Support to the Common People – Deputy Chairperson Dr.Neelam Gorhe
Mumbai /dnyanpravah news,March 10, 2025 : Just as the Central Government has provided much- needed relief to the middle class, the poor, farmers, and women, the Maharashtra State Budget for 2025-26 has further strengthened these efforts.The government has introduced policies such as the Maharashtra Export Promotion Policy, Tourism Policy, new IT Policy, Logistics Policy, Medical Tourism Policy, and has declared 2025 as the Year of Cooperation. Additionally, it has decided to conduct the Classical Marathi Language Campaign every October. The scope of schemes like Ladki Lek and Ladki Bahin for women has been expanded, a move welcomed by Dr.Neelam Gorhe.
To empower women,the government has decided to establish Umed Malls in 10 districts and launch skill development programs for women using artificial intelligence.These initiatives will pave the way for a progressive future. Significant funds have been allocated for the memorials of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar, and Hindu Hriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray. Additionally, under the Durgam te Sugam (Remote to Accessible) initiative, substantial funding has been provided for the development of temples and infrastructure.

To boost agriculture and rural development, the government has announced free electricity for 4.5 million agricultural pumps with a budget allocation of ₹7,978 crore. Moreover ₹36,303 crore has been earmarked for the Baliraja Farm and Rural Roads Scheme. Strategic measures have also been taken to ensure fair market prices for agricultural produce.
For strengthening law and order, 21 mobile forensic units will be established, along with the setup of high-tech command centers. This will help improve crime control and increase conviction rates.
The government led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has fulfilled the promises made to the people before the elections, ensuring development-focused justice for women. Dr.Neelam Gorhe, Deputy Chairperson of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, has welcomed these decisions.
