The State Institute of Hotel Management, Indore, continued its delightful annual tradition by hosting a vibrant Cake Mixing Ceremony on Friday at the college campus. The event, organized under the guidance of faculty member Ms. Avni Patil and her enthusiastic team, was beautifully themed around Christmas, featuring artistic decorations and festive cheer.

The ceremony marked the beginning of the Christmas celebrations, where a rich blend of dry fruits — including cashews, almonds, cherries, raisins, dates, black currants, and cinnamon — was mixed with aromatic spices and alcohol. The mixture will be left to mature for several days before being baked into a special Christmas cake, symbolizing warmth, patience, and festive joy.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. V.K. Singh, Principal of the Institute, said,

“The Cake Mixing Ceremony is not just about preparing ingredients for the cake; it is a celebration of love, togetherness, and the spirit of Christmas. It brings people closer, allowing them to share happiness and goodwill.”

He further added that taking part in such ceremonies helps preserve the legacy of family bonding and community harmony. The final cake, baked after weeks of fermentation, represents teamwork, patience, and the joy of festivities, reinforcing unity and love among all participants.

The event concluded with cheerful participation from students and faculty, spreading the aroma of celebration and togetherness throughout the campus.
