Grievance against land acquisition for H-CITI in Prajavani

Simmering anger against property acquisition for H-CITI (Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure) projects in the upscale locality of Jubilee Hills here came to fore during the grievance redressal programme ā€˜Prajavani’ organised by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Monday.

Congress leader K.Chandrasekhar Reddy, who is better known as film star Allu Arjun’s father-in-law, made an appearance in the Prajavani programme of February 10 at GHMC headquarters, to air his grievance against the property acquisition for the flyovers around KBR National Park.

Mr. Reddy sought an explanation for the inequal acquisition of extent on each side of the existing road abutting his plot. He placed a request for reconsideration of the proposed road widening from 100 feet to 120 feet, from Agrasen Junction to Film Nagar circle and further on till the Jubilee Hills Checkpost junction.

GHMC has received a total 155 complaints during the Prajavani programme. Of those, 59 complaints were received at its headquarters, 34 of which pertained to Town Planning wing. Of the remaining 96, Kukatpally zone received the maximum of 41 complaints.
