6 Naxals to surrender before Karnataka CM in Bengaluru

Representatives of the State committee to oversee Naxals’ surrender policy and members of Shantigagi Nagarikara Vedike had met suspected Maoists in an undisclosed location recently. Six Naxals agreed to give up the armed struggle.

The vehicles carrying the Naxals, accompanied by members of the State committee to oversee the rehabilitation of Naxals, headed to the capital while family members of the Naxals and others were waiting for their arrival at the Inspection Bungalow in Chikkamagaluru.

The Naxals were expected to surrender in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru around 3 p.m.
