The surrender of six Naxals, which was scheduled to be held in Chikkamagaluru in Karnataka on January 8, has been shifted to Bengaluru.

The vehicles carrying the Naxals, accompanied by members of the State committee to oversee the rehabilitation of Naxals, headed to the capital while family members of the Naxals and others were waiting for their arrival at the Inspection Bungalow in Chikkamagaluru.

The Naxals were expected to surrender in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Bengaluru around 3 p.m.
